As a Charleston Shellfish Sampler (Biological Science Assistant) with the Marine Resources Program (MRP) in Charleston, Oregon, you will provide assistance with sampling, monitoring, surveys, and research for multiple commercial and recreational shellfish fisheries. Duties include collecting, tabulating, and analyzing data on shellfish fisheries, shellfish resources, and estuary habitat. The position will have frequent contact with shellfish commercial and recreational fishery participants as well as the public while collecting data. This position requires a Boater Education Certificate obtained through the Oregon State Marine Board within sixty days of appointment.
