Must Haves:
- 10+ years of experience as an Information Security Lead overseeing AI and data security
- Strong recent background in programming and scripting (Python, PowerShell, C#, etc.)
- 2+ years of recent experience with Microsoft Purview, including hands‑on work implementing it
- Experience with ADCS, Azure Information Protection, and Varonis
- Experience securing Azure cloud infrastructures and services
- Extensive hands‑on experience with data security technologies (e.g., DLP, Public Key Infrastructure/Certificate Authority, PGP, database encryption, key management, data classification, enterprise file encryption, email encryption, data lake protections, and secure data transfer)
Day to Day:
Insight Global is seeking an Information Security Lead to join a large reinsurance client. This lead will be part of the Security and Infrastructure team and will work closely with the Data and AI team. The role will focus on overseeing AI and data security. The client currently uses Varonis in their environment and is looking to implement Microsoft Purview.
The Security
Lead will collaborate with the data team to implement Purview in a way that ensures the proper security controls are applied. Currently, Varonis is owned by the security team and Purview is owned by the Data and AI team. This lead will own the enforcement of data protection policies based on Purview labeling. They will develop policies to implement data protections within Purview and evaluate whether Purview could eventually replace Varonis (though not in the near term). The role involves crafting, designing, and implementing technical policies, along with potential delegation to scripts, playbooks, and agentic workflows, which is why a programming background is preferred. The ideal candidate will be experienced enough to lead the implementation, oversee third-party support, and continue to own the platform long-term.
Compensation is approximately $75/hr.
