About the Role & Program:
Platform Distribution negotiates the business, economic, technology, product, data, and advertising terms that drive distribution of The Walt Disney Company’s content across a wide range of partners. This includes global direct-to-consumer services (Disney+, ESPN+, Hulu), linear TV channels (ABC, Disney Junior, ESPN, Freeform, National Geographic, etc.), theatrical films, Free Ad-Supported Streaming (FAST) channels, other ad-supported video offerings, ABC News, and audio streaming content.
The individual must possess organizational, communication and analytical skills, an interest in the media & entertainment business as well as an initiative-taking mindset. Above all, they must think big, learn quickly, and approach every challenge with enthusiasm.
What You Will Do:
Assist with the various stages of the distribution lifecycle, including partner engagement, deal execution, audience growth strategies, performance reporting, and development of sales and partnership presentations.
Assist with business updates based on account activity and the needs of the team.
Help create, maintain, and refresh team documents and trackers.
Assist in projects related to team objectives
Establish and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders (e.g., finance, legal, marketing, operations) in partnership support.
Account negotiation and executive material prep
Required Experience/Skills:
A desire to learn the intricacies of the entertainment business, including components of advertising, technology, finance, and law.
A general understanding of the media landscape, including competitors and industry trends.
Strong organization skills, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in the Microsoft product suite (SharePoint, Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
Education:
Junior or Senior year preferred
Major or previous coursework in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Advertising, Business Administration, or other related major preferred
Eligibility Requirements & Program Information:
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Additional Information:
Availability for the duration of the internship in New York City: June – August 2026
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from Monday – Friday for the duration of the internship, 40 hours each week (if applicable)
Able to provide own transportation and housing for the duration of the internship program.
The pay rate for this role in New York is $22.50 per hour.
