About the Role
The Elite Job is hiring part-time Drive-Thru Coffee Attendants for busy coffee stands and café drive-through windows. Drive-thru positions are the highest-transaction-volume roles in any coffee operation — a well-run drive-thru window can serve 200+ customers per shift, and the baristas who work them earn some of the best tip rates in the industry. Speed, accuracy, and energy are what this role demands. If you can take an order, build a drink, and send a customer on their way with a smile in under two minutes, you belong at the drive-thru window.
What You Will Do
Take drink orders from customers through the drive-thru speaker or window with clarity and accuracy
Prepare espresso-based beverages, blended drinks, and simple food items at the window station with minimal wait time
Process cash, card, and mobile app payments at the drive-thru terminal quickly without errors
Hand drinks and food items to customers through the window, confirming order accuracy before the car pulls away
Upsell seasonal items, loyalty program sign-ups, and add-on upgrades at the window during natural conversation
Keep the drive-thru station stocked with cups, lids, sleeves, straws, and packaging between car service intervals
Coordinate with the inside bar team on pre-made orders, high-volume periods, and mobile order pre-staging
Clean the window station, exterior ledge, and equipment surfaces between service rushes throughout the shift
What You Need
Fast pace and high energy — drive-thru shifts are continuous and the line does not stop
Clear verbal communication through a speaker system and face-to-face at the window simultaneously
Ability to take an order, build a drink, and complete a transaction without losing queue position
Accuracy under pressure — a wrong drink at the drive-thru window cannot be corrected after the car leaves
Reliability and consistent attendance — drive-thru windows cannot run understaffed during a rush
Must be 16 or older — prior café experience preferred for drive-thru positions due to pace
Nice to Have
Previous drive-thru experience at any food service location
Barista skills — drive-thru coffee attendants who can also work the bar are the most valued team members
Experience with headset communication systems
