Experienced Longline Deckhands

Deckhands are experienced commercial fishermen who have worked their way up to the deckhand position. Deckhands must have at least one year experience as a deckhand aboard a factory longline vessel. Deckhands assist Deckboss/Bosun in bringing fish aboard the vessel in a safe and timely manner.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Must be able to work 12 – 16 hour shifts

· Participates in all safety drills

· Reports to Captain, Mate, Deckboss/Bosun

· Handle lines to tie up vessel

· Set and haul gear

· Inspect, repair, and modify gear

· Inventory gear

· Run roller operation

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $8,000.00 - $17,000.00 per month
