Full Job Description at:

Winged Wealth Management and Financial Planning LLC (WWMFP) is seeking a Financial Planner to serve as a key member of our team. This is a fully remote, full-time position open to U.S.-based candidates, with a start date to be determined based on the selected candidate’s availability.

A Financial Planner at WWMFP owns the full financial planning relationship with an assigned client base—from discovery through plan delivery and ongoing reviews. You will serve military and veteran families at every stage of their financial lives, delivering the organization, objectivity, and proactivity that define our firm. This role is designed for a credentialed, experienced planner who is ready to lead client relationships and collaborate closely with the firm’s principal advisor.

We are a fee-only, fiduciary RIA. No product sales. No commissions. No pressure to pursue anything other than our clients’ best interests. This role sits on the advisor track and offers a realistic path to increased compensation, responsibility, leadership, and future equity opportunity for the right person.

Growth Path • Increased client responsibility and revenue participation as your client count grows. We’ll assume at least 20 clients by the end of your first year and 50 by the end of your 3 rd year. • Future equity opportunity for planners who demonstrate client impact and long-term commitment. • Direct mentorship from the founder on advanced planning strategy, firm operations, and business development.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following. Core Planning & Client Service • Serve as primary point of contact for an assigned client base, managing ongoing financial planning relationships end-to-end. • Lead client discovery meetings, annual reviews, and ad hoc planning conversations. • Manage client investment portfolios and advise on certain held-away assets. • Build, maintain, and present comprehensive financial plans using RightCapital and Income Lab • Develop and deliver recommendations across tax planning, retirement, investment, insurance, estate, and benefits strategy—with strong fluency in military-specific topics. • Coordinate with allied professionals (CPAs, estate planning attorneys, insurance specialists) on behalf of clients.

Required Qualifications • CFP® certification • 2+ years of client-facing financial planning experience • Demonstrated knowledge of military and veteran financial benefits (see planning responsibilities above)—this is a firm requirement, not a nice-to-have. • Proficiency with financial planning, tax planning, and CRM software • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex topics clearly to clients • Calm, comforting, capable “bedside manner” with both clients and colleagues • U.S.-based; eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications • Military or veteran background (service member, spouse, dependent) • Experience with Right Capital, Holistiplan, and Income Lab • EA, CPA, or advanced financial planning designation (e.g., RICP®, MQFP®, etc.) • Prior experience in a fee-only, fiduciary RIA • Comfort in a small, growing firm where roles evolve and initiative is valued

You should apply if you: • Love personal finance, genuinely like people, and feel called to serve the military and veteran community • Want to own client relationships and make a measurable difference in families’ financial lives • Are a critical thinker who can connect the dots across a client’s complete financial picture • Thrive in a small-firm environment where you wear multiple hats and help build something • Take compliance, accuracy, and fiduciary duty seriously—not as a burden, but as a baseline

This role is probably not for you if you: • Prefer a highly structured corporate environment with defined lanes and minimal ambiguity • Are primarily motivated by business development incentives or sales activity • Resist change or prefer a static, established process over a firm that is still building

Hiring Process We take hiring seriously and commit to communicating with every candidate who applies. You will hear from us—whether you move forward or not.

  1. Submit a cover letter and resume to service@wingedwealth.com. Your cover letter should explicitly address your connection to the military and veteran community, if any. Please do not submit an AI-generated letter that restates this job description. Those who have carefully read this posting should include the phrase “Robin Olds” somewhere in their cover letter. Include a short video (e.g., Loom, 3–5 minutes) introducing yourself and explaining why WWMFP is the right fit for you.
  2. Initial review. We will respond to all qualified applicants within 2 weeks of the close of the application window.
  3. First Zoom interview with the founder.
  4. Second Zoom interview (if the first goes well). May include a planning scenario or case discussion.
  5. Potential additional interviews.
  6. Tentative written offer.
  7. Background & credit check.
