Role Description
The Senior Product Support Manager serves as a strategic leader and key liaison between Blue Bird Corporation and our premier dealer/fleet partners. You are responsible for driving high-level parts and service sales growth by architecting and overseeing the execution of comprehensive Parts & Service Business Plans. Beyond standard relationship management, you will synthesize market intelligence to influence corporate business development and mentor regional partners to achieve operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
Act as the primary corporate representative for specified geographic regions, overseeing complex dealer/fleet portfolios to ensure alignment with Blue Bird’s long-term growth objectives.
Business Planning & Execution:
Lead dealers in the creation of sophisticated annual business plans; monitor high-level performance metrics and pivot strategies to exceed aggressive annual revenue and service targets.
High-Touch Relationship Management:
Conduct quarterly executive-level dealer reviews to resolve systemic issues and implement proactive action plans.
Training & Capability Building:
Design and deliver advanced product, systems, and sales training programs for dealers and end-customers.
Operational Governance:
Audit dealer/fleet service operations to ensure strict adherence to Blue Bird standards, including market coverage strategies (mobile service, Authorized Repair Centers) and technician certification pathways.
Market Intelligence & Pricing:
Provide corporate leadership with actionable competitive intelligence; authorize strategic pricing adjustments to capture market share while protecting critical gross margins.
Inter-Departmental Synergy:
Coordinate with Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) and Aftermarket teams to streamline service resolutions and maximize regional organizational effectiveness.
Change Management:
Facilitate and oversee critical dealer transitions, including new start-ups and complex closures.
Goodwill Administration:
Manage and adjudicate goodwill requests for assigned Areas of Responsibility (AOR) with high fiscal accountability.
Qualifications
Self-motivated, able to work in an environment with limited direct supervision.
Proven ability to lead and deliver results in remote environments with minimal supervision.
Expert level collaboration skills, capable of aligning field personnel and corporate management toward unified goals.
Must be able to collaborate with co-workers in the field and at corporate.
Extensive sales or marketing experience in the automotive, medium/heavy truck or school bus industry is desirable.
Demonstrate a high level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, initiative, commitment, professionalism and a positive attitude.
Strong relationship building skills.
Ability to work proficiently on a cross functional team to achieve project goals.
Excellent people, time management, communication (verbal and written), customer service and interpersonal skills.
Superior problem solving, negotiation and facilitation skills.
Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions, with acute attention to detail.
Ability to manage diverse assignments under tight deadlines.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Data Science, Engineering, Marketing or any other related field.
7+ years of Regional/Territory sales management experience.
If no degree, 12+ years of experience.
U.S. Passport and valid Driver’s license.
