Signature Care is seeking an experienced Intake Coordinator with insurance verification experience who is bilingual in English and Spanish. We are hiring immediately for a motivated, detail-oriented professional who can manage the intake process, verify insurance eligibility, and provide excellent customer service to patients, families, and referral sources.
Position Overview
The Intake Coordinator is responsible for processing new patient referrals, verifying insurance coverage, coordinating admissions, and ensuring all required documentation is completed accurately and timely. This role is ideal for someone with home care, healthcare, or insurance verification experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Receive and process incoming referrals for home care services.
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorizations.
- Communicate with insurance companies, MLTC plans, referral sources, patients, and families.
- Collect and review required intake documentation.
- Coordinate start-of-care services with clinical and staffing teams.
- Maintain accurate records in company databases and systems.
- Follow up on pending referrals and authorizations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the intake process.
Qualifications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (required).
- Previous experience as an Intake Coordinator, Intake Specialist, Insurance Verification Specialist, or related healthcare role.
- Knowledge of home care, managed care plans, Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance verification processes preferred.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and healthcare software systems.
- Detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
