As the public face of our properties, you'll provide a warm, friendly welcome, give information about the property, answer questions and make sure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: £13.25 per hour
Contract/duration: Fixed term contract from the 13th July to 31st August 2026 (7 week contract).
Hours/working pattern: 5 days a week working every Monday to Thursday and every Saturday.
You'll be supporting our visitor welcome teams deliver our programme of events over the summer school holidays. Helping to greet visitors and support our summer of play activities, as well as Big Camp and Kit Festival.
The role involves working outside in all weathers on a regular basis.
Interviews will be held the week being 6th July.
For this role, you'll need to complete our online assessment instead of using a C.V. or online application form. This will help us understand more about your strengths and give you more information on the role.
What it's like to work here
Dunstable Downs is a dramatic and much-loved chalk grassland landscape, offering wide open views, rich wildlife and is a local gateway to the Chiltern Hills National Landscape. It attracts a broad range of visitors, from regular visitors building multi-generational memories to new visitors discovering the Downs for the first time.
Working alongside our team, you'll support with visitor engagement throughout the summer, particularly working with the visitor welcome team welcoming visitors to Dunstable Downs and helping them make the most our of their visit with us and making sure they can find everything they need to enjoy their day with us. You'll be helping to deliver our summer events too such as Summer of Play, Kite Connect Festival and Big Camp.
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you'll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You'll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can. You'll have the chance to be involved in different aspects of the visitor experience, from key property events to social media promotion - no two days are the same. Great visitor experiences are in our nature, and we believe everyone should feel welcomed, appreciated and more engaged because of the excellent service you provide. This role would suit anyone with enthusiasm for delivering great customer service.
