*PA required for 14 year old boy after school in LS23 up to 8 hours per week £9.43 hourly - WETHERBY - LS23 <div><br><br></div><div><br></div><div><strong>Job Title:</strong> Personal Assistant </div><div><strong>Hours Per Week:</strong> Up to 8</div><div><strong>Rate of Pay:</strong> £9.43</div><div><strong>Location:</strong>  My home and the local community </div><div> </div><div>To support a 14 year old male who has a diagnosis of significant intellectual disability.</div><div> </div><div>Jake requires support from a Personal Assistant to access social and leisure tasks. These hours will be to support him to visit places away from home, ideally collecting him from school and accompanying him to an activity and for tea, before bringing him home.  Private transport is therefore essential.</div><div> </div><div>During this time, Jake will require support with all personal care needs, including dressing, toileting, etc.  Jake is non-verbal and communicates through Makaton and gesturing, and will therefore need support from the Personal Assistant to communicate his needs.  Experience of Makaton is desirable.</div><div> </div><div><strong><em>Supervision</em></strong></div><div>My personal assistant will be directed by and accountable to me in all aspects of their work.  They will always ask what is required and not make assumptions about any aspect of the assistance I need or how it should be carried out.</div><div> </div><div><strong><em>Main duties</em></strong><em> </em></div><div>  Support to access interest and hobbies  </div><div>  Personal care </div><div> </div><div><strong><em>Essential requirements </em></strong></div><div>  Driving licence & access to own vehicle</div><div>  Experience of caring for children with special needs</div>
