About the Role
The Elite Job is hiring part-time Baristas for coffee shops and cafés across the US. This is a great opportunity for students, second-job seekers, and anyone looking for flexible hours in a fast-paced, friendly environment. You will craft espresso drinks, serve customers, and be part of a team that takes pride in every cup. No formal experience required — we train all new hires on our drink menu and equipment from day one.
What You Will Do
Prepare and serve hot and cold espresso-based beverages including lattes, cappuccinos, mochas, and cold brews to customer order
Greet every customer warmly, take orders accurately at the counter or register, and answer questions about the drink menu
Operate an espresso machine, commercial grinder, and steam wand — pulling shots to consistent extraction standards
Prepare blended drinks, teas, hot chocolates, and seasonal specialty beverages per the café recipe guide
Handle cash and card payments at the POS, give correct change, and issue receipts with accuracy
Keep the bar area, espresso equipment, and customer-facing counter clean and organized throughout the shift
Restock cups, lids, syrups, milk, and pastry display items to maintain a fully stocked bar and front counter
Follow all food safety and hygiene standards including proper milk storage temperatures and daily equipment cleaning logs
What You Need
Positive, outgoing personality — this job is customer-facing from the first second of every shift
Ability to work quickly and accurately during busy rush periods without losing focus on drink quality
Comfortable standing for your full shift and moving continuously between the bar, counter, and storage areas
Reliable — you will be scheduled specific shifts and the team counts on you to show up on time
Must be 16 years of age or older (18+ required for roles that serve alcohol)
No previous coffee experience required — full on-the-job training is provided for all new baristas
Nice to Have
Previous café, coffee shop, or food service experience in any capacity
Familiarity with espresso drinks, milk texturing, or latte art basics
ServSafe Food Handler certification or local food handler card
