About the Role
Greate Consultant is recruiting part-time Cashiers for café and coffee shop positions at busy urban locations. The cashier is the first person every customer meets — and the last impression they leave with. If you are comfortable handling a register, counting change, and keeping a smile through a busy morning rush, this role is a great fit. Shifts are available across mornings, afternoons, and weekends, making this position ideal for people who need flexible part-time income without committing to full-time hours.
What You Will Do
Operate the café POS system to ring up food and beverage orders, apply discounts and loyalty rewards, and process all payment types accurately
Count cash received and provide correct change quickly and without errors during peak service periods
Greet every customer by name or with a friendly acknowledgment and thank them genuinely at order completion
Communicate any menu substitutions, wait times, or out-of-stock items to customers clearly and without frustration
Keep the cashier station tidy — receipt paper stocked, counter wiped, and queue area clean between transactions
Handle customer complaints or special requests calmly, escalating to the shift supervisor when needed
Assist with restocking to-go cups, lids, sleeves, and packaging supplies at the register station throughout the shift
Reconcile the cash drawer at the start and end of each shift and report any discrepancies to the shift lead immediately
What You Need
Basic math competency — comfortable making change and spotting POS entry errors quickly
Calm, professional demeanor during busy periods — the line moves faster when the cashier stays composed
Honesty and integrity when handling cash and payment transactions every shift
Reliable availability for at least 2 scheduled shifts per week — cashier roles require consistent attendance
Ability to stand for the duration of a 4 – 5 hour shift
16 years of age or older — no prior cashier experience required
Nice to Have
Previous POS experience at any retail or food service location
Cash-handling experience in any environment
Experience with loyalty program apps or mobile order processing
