About the Role

Greate Consultant is placing part-time Drink Prep Associates with cafés that need dependable team members to support the bar during high-volume periods. Drink prep associates are the barista's right hand — handling milk pulls, blended drink prep, iced beverage assembly, and drink station organization so the lead barista can focus on espresso. If you want to learn the café business from the inside without being thrown into the deep end immediately, this is the perfect starting role.

What You Will Do

  • Pull and measure milk portions for upcoming drink orders, organizing them by size and type ahead of the rush
  • Prepare blended beverages using commercial blenders — measuring ingredients, blending to texture, and topping drinks accurately
  • Assemble iced drinks including iced lattes, cold brews, iced teas, and lemonades per the recipe guide
  • Keep the drink prep station stocked with cups, lids, syrups, cold milk, ice, and toppings throughout the shift
  • Label completed drinks with customer name or order number and place them on the handoff counter in the correct sequence
  • Rinse blenders and shakers between orders and clean the prep station surfaces every 30 minutes
  • Communicate with the lead barista to stay aligned on drink queue order and upcoming priorities during the rush
  • Assist the counter team with grab-and-go item packaging and pastry assembly during slow periods

What You Need

  • Ability to work quickly and accurately in a small, shared workspace without bumping into other team members
  • Attentiveness to detail — drink prep errors slow the entire order queue and affect customer satisfaction
  • Physical ability to stand for 4 – 6 hours, reach overhead shelves, and carry ice buckets and milk crates
  • Willingness to learn — drink prep associates who absorb technique quickly move into barista roles fast
  • Available for a minimum of 2 shifts per week including at least one weekend day
  • Must be 16 or older — no prior café experience required

Nice to Have

  • Prior food prep or kitchen assistant experience in any food service setting
  • Familiarity with café drinks and their ingredients — helps with accuracy and speed
  • Food handler card or ServSafe certification

What We Offer

  • Pay of $13 – $15 per hour plus shared tip pool earnings
  • Flexible part-time schedule — morning and afternoon shifts available
  • Free drinks every shift and team food discount
  • Fast path to full barista training for high-performing prep associates
  • Supportive team environment where everyone is learning together
  • Paid sick leave per applicable state and local regulations
