About the Role

A professional facility services company is hiring part-time Medical Office Cleaners for physician offices, outpatient clinics, and specialty medical facilities. Medical facility cleaning pays more than standard janitorial work because the cleaning standards are higher — disinfection protocols must comply with infection control guidelines, and cleaners must understand the difference between cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting surfaces in patient-care areas. If you are detail-oriented, reliable, and willing to follow a rigorous cleaning protocol, medical office cleaning is one of the best-paying no-experience part-time cleaning roles available.

What You Will Do

  • Clean and disinfect all exam rooms, treatment areas, and patient bathrooms using EPA-registered hospital-grade disinfectants
  • Wipe down all high-touch surfaces including exam tables, chair armrests, door handles, light switches, and countertops with contact-time-compliant disinfectant
  • Mop all hard floors using a color-coded mop system to prevent cross-contamination between patient areas and public spaces
  • Empty and properly dispose of non-regulated medical waste (non-sharps) in marked receptacles per facility protocol
  • Clean and sanitize the reception area, waiting room, staff break room, and administrative offices
  • Restock restroom supplies and paper products in patient and staff restrooms throughout the facility
  • Follow the cleaning route and schedule strictly — medical offices have specific requirements for the order in which areas are cleaned
  • Complete the cleaning log and disinfection checklist at the end of each visit and leave it with the facility manager

What You Need

  • Willingness to learn and follow a detailed, protocol-driven cleaning process — medical cleaning has more steps than standard janitorial work
  • Dependability — medical offices cannot reschedule cleaning the way general offices can
  • Comfort using chemical disinfectants with gloves, eye protection, and proper PPE as required
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, and move actively throughout the shift
  • Evening availability — most medical office cleaning occurs after the last patient appointment
  • Must be 18 or older — background check required for access to healthcare facilities

Nice to Have

  • Prior medical facility, hospital housekeeping, or clinical environment cleaning experience
  • OSHA bloodborne pathogen training (BBP) certification
  • Knowledge of EPA-registered disinfectant categories and contact-time requirements

What We Offer

  • Pay of $15 – $18 per hour — medical cleaning rates are above general commercial cleaning due to protocol requirements
  • Evening and weekend shifts available for maximum schedule flexibility
  • All cleaning chemicals, color-coded supplies, and PPE provided
  • Full protocol training — no prior medical cleaning experience required to start
  • Stable, predictable schedule aligned with the clinic's appointment calendar
  • Paid sick leave per applicable law

Medical office cleaning pays more and demands more — and if you can deliver consistent quality against a high standard, you will always have work. Apply today. No prior medical cleaning experience required — full training provided.

Confidential employer — details shared with candidates at interview stage. Background check required.
