We are seeking a technical Senior Bookkeeper for a stable, low-drama, non-client-facing role. This position is designed for a professional who thrives on solving complex data puzzles, managing multi-software integrations, and maintaining high-level accuracy with total autonomy.
Comp & Schedule
Pay: $30.00 – $35.00 per hour (W-2).
Hours: 8–16 hours per week.
Flexibility: Remote-friendly; schedule follows the school holiday calendar.
Core Responsibilities
Complex Reconciliations: Monthly journals and revenue recognition for third-party platforms (examples: Square, Booker, Service Fusion, Vagaro, CoreStore/CoreWare, etc.).
Integration Oversight: Manage data flow for QuickBooks Desktop (CRMs like Arborgold and Billergenie) and QuickBooks Online (platforms like Service Fusion).
Intercompany Accounting: Execute monthly reconciliations across multiple entities to ensure all "due to/from" accounts balance perfectly.
Payroll & Liabilities: Audit GL wages/taxes against bank activity; troubleshoot discrepancies and track tax liabilities.
Workflow Management: Utilize Financial Cents for project tracking and 1Password for secure credential management.
Qualifications
5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping experience.
Expert Mastery: QuickBooks Desktop (Required) and QuickBooks Online.
Technical Chops: Proven experience with CRM-to-QuickBooks data flow, manual revenue journals, and intercompany transfers.
Tech Savvy: Proficient with Microsoft 365 Suite and comfortable with remote IT security protocols.
Residency: Must be a current Massachusetts resident.
