Position Overview: VDCI is seeking an experienced construction professional to serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Online Instructor for a new self-paced, project-based course in Construction Management using Procore. You’ll be responsible for designing the curriculum, developing hands-on labs, creating course assets, and recording instructional video content.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design Course Structure & Learning Outcomes - Develop a clear, job-relevant course outline focused on construction management tasks using Procore.
  • Develop Project-Based Labs - Create real-world learning scenarios that allow students to practice key Procore functions (e.g., RFIs, submittals, budgets, daily logs, schedules).
  • Create Course Assets - Build supporting materials such as sample drawings, forms, logs, templates, and reference files.
  • Record Instructional Videos - Deliver clear, engaging video lessons that demonstrate Procore tools and best practices. (Recording support provided.)
  • Collaborate with VDCI’s Curriculum Team - Work with instructional designers to ensure quality, clarity, and alignment with learning objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Professional experience using Procore on active construction projects (e.g., as a PM, APM, field engineer, superintendent)
  • Strong understanding of construction management workflows: RFIs, submittals, contracts, scheduling, budget tracking, and field documentation
  • Experience creating or delivering instructional content (training sessions, online courses, or corporate documentation)
  • Confident presenting and recording instructional content on camera
  • Ability to work independently and meet production timelines

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $30.00 - $60.00 per hour
