What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Plan programs and assess the effectiveness of services for students with exceptional needs - Ensure best practices in behavioral interventions and support for students as outlined in IEPs - Provide leadership in curriculum, instruction, and modifications for diverse learning needs - Manage difficult cases, including attending IEP meetings and applying conflict resolution strategies - Evaluate Ed Specialists and provide leadership in supervising special education team members
What is Required (Qualifications): - Master's Degree in Special Education or related field preferred - Clear CA Education Specialist Credential and CLAD certification required - Minimum of 5 years of related experience in special education leadership - Proven successful teaching or related service provision in Special Education - Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated leadership experience, including supervisory roles
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - CPI certification desired - CA Administrative Services Credential desired - Bilingual in Spanish preferred
