## Your Impact at Lowe's As a Customer Service Associate in our Sunnyvale store, you'll combine top‑notch customer service with genuine care for people so customers feel comfortable while shopping at Lowe's. This role is focused on helping customers solve their home improvement challenges through friendly interaction, product guidance, and occasional physical assistance. You will spend most of your time listening to customers, answering questions, and organizing merchandise. Daily tasks will vary by department; associates work in areas such as Appliances, Cabinets, Flooring, Live Nursery, Inside Garden, Hardware, Tools, Millwork, Building Materials, Plumbing, Electrical, Paint, Home Décor, Tool Rental, or Pro Services. Some of the typical activities include helping customers locate and handle merchandise, restocking shelves, processing orders and deliveries so customers receive merchandise as expected and on time, and preparing department‑specific merchandise (for example: tint and mix paint, cut and thread pipe, cut and bundle wood, cut drywall, cut blinds). You will also cross‑functionally train in other areas of the store and guide customers through shopping or checkout. ### Experience and basic skills - Minimum qualifications include 6 Months Experience using a computer, including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information. 6 Months Experience using common retail technology, such as smart phones and tablets, is also required. - You must be able to read, write, and perform basic arithmetic (addition and subtraction). - Physical expectations include duties that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties. Associates must minimally lift 25lbs unassisted or over 25lbs with or without an accommodation. Preferred attributes that Lowe's encourages include 6 months of retail and/or customer service experience, bi‑lingual skills, and certification in a trade related to the department (e.g., hardware, kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden, and lumber/building materials). The role does not require regular travel; however, it may need to travel occasionally to meetings, training, or to support neighboring stores. Environmental factors vary by location; you may work in both inside and outside weather conditions and be exposed to varying climates and intermittent noises. Lifting methods vary based on role, weight, and volume: associates must follow guidelines limiting single lifts to 75 pounds; team lifts are used minimally starting at 75 pounds. Powered equipment should be used as required, with proper training or assistance from a trained coworker. ### Pay and benefits Pay Range: $19.50 - $20.55 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
