Our client, a fast-paced and expanding logistics and supply chain company, is seeking an experienced Senior Logistics Operations Manager for their operations in **San Jose, California, US**. This critical role involves overseeing daily warehouse operations, optimizing inventory management, and ensuring efficient transportation and distribution. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale warehouse facilities, implementing process improvements, and leading diverse teams to achieve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and direct all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control. Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and resource utilization. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, security protocols, and quality standards within the warehouse. Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse staff, supervisors, and leads to achieve performance targets. Collaborate with transportation managers to ensure timely and cost-effective movement of goods. Implement and leverage Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment rates, and operational costs. Develop and manage the warehouse operational budget, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and suppliers. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce errors, and improve customer satisfaction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in logistics and warehouse operations management. Proven experience managing operations in a large, complex warehouse environment. Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS, and other supply chain technologies. Demonstrated ability to implement and manage lean or Six Sigma principles for process improvement. Excellent leadership, team management, and people development skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a data-driven approach. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Experience with inventory planning and control methodologies. Ability to develop and manage operational budgets effectively. Familiarity with international shipping and customs regulations is a plus.
