A Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) holding a "Yellow Book" in Malaysia is a DOSH-certified competent person managing construction site safety. Key duties include daily site inspections, enforcing compliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA 1994) and Regulations 2024, leading toolbox meetings, and investigating accidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Inspection: Conduct daily site inspections/walkthroughs to identify and correct hazardous conditions.
• Compliance Enforcement: Ensure all workers and subcontractors adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations.
• Safety Training: Deliver daily Toolbox Meetings (TBM) and safety briefings.
• Incident Investigation: Investigate accidents, near-misses, or dangerous occurrences and file necessary reports.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain safety records, audit documentation, and report directly to management or project managers.
• PPE Management: Ensure proper use and availability of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety signage.

• Certification: A valid "Yellow Book" registered with the Department of Occupational Safety and Health (DOSH/JKKP).
• Education: At least a Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or related technical field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in construction or civil engineering site safety.
• Skills: Strong communication skills to interact with workers, management, and government authorities.
