Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Travel Telemetry RN to join our growing team of healthcare professionals serving facilities across the United States. In this role, you will travel to a variety of acute care hospitals and medical centers, providing specialized telemetry nursing care to adults requiring continuous cardiac monitoring. You will be responsible for closely observing and interpreting cardiac rhythms, recognizing and responding to dysrhythmias, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
As a Travel Telemetry RN with Fusion Medical Staffing, you will perform comprehensive patient assessments, manage IV therapies and medication administration, and provide care for patients in step-down, post-operative, and other monitored units. You will use telemetry and central monitoring systems to track changes in heart rate and rhythm, promptly communicate significant findings to physicians and advanced practice providers, and participate in rapid responses or emergencies as needed. Accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR), adherence to infection prevention and patient safety protocols, and effective communication during handoffs and interdisciplinary rounds will be essential parts of your daily work.
This position requires a strong clinical background in telemetry or cardiac care, along with the ability to quickly adapt to new hospital environments, workflows, and teams. You will be expected to work collaboratively with nurses, physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the care team, while providing clear education and support to patients and their families regarding monitoring equipment, medications, and discharge instructions. Your ability to prioritize care in a fast-paced setting, recognize early signs of deterioration, and escalate concerns appropriately will directly impact patient outcomes.
