Job Overview

Duties

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history reviews, physical examinations, and vital signs measurement.
  • Provide preventive care services such as screenings, immunizations, and health education tailored to women's health needs.
  • Perform gynecological procedures including Pap smears, breast exams, and contraceptive counseling.
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions related to reproductive health, including infections and hormonal imbalances.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on complex cases involving family planning, menopause management, or pelvic pain.
  • Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation and medical records management.
  • Educate patients on lifestyle modifications, medication administration, and disease prevention strategies.

Requirements

  • Valid Nurse Practitioner license with certification in Women's Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP) specialization.
  • Proven experience in clinical settings providing women's health services; experience with telehealth is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
  • Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for documentation and patient management.
  • Ability to perform procedures including suturing, IV infusion, phlebotomy, and sterile processing techniques.
  • Familiarity with CPT coding, ICD coding (ICD-10), and utilization review processes for billing and compliance purposes.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate diverse patient populations effectively.
  • Critical care experience or hospital medicine background is advantageous; experience working with special populations such as adolescents or seniors is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
